Who we are.
Seabury Design is a woman owned, family run studio in Kittery, Maine. Our mission is to provide our clients with creative, modern designs and locally sourced materials, while honoring our unique New England vernacular. We value the use of natives as plants for pollinators and encouraging bio diversity where local flora and fauna thrive.
It is no secret that flowers and plants bring us enormous pleasure and peace. As professionals, we are trained in botany, ecology, horticulture. This training, coupled with our unique workflow and creative, stylistic eye ensures that your project and gardens will sustainable, beautiful, and enhance the naturally wild beauty found around us.

Stace, our founder at Seabury, is passionate about celebrating the natural beauty around us.
Stace is a native Mainer, and played alongside her grandmother in the gardens as a child. She attended the University of Maine and earned a BA degree, and while growing a family rediscovered her love for gardening while growing their food. She went on to create the South Berwick Farmer's Market, former Head Gardener for the town of York, Maine and then launched Seabury Design. With over two decades of horticultural experience, she is a master gardener, certified professional floral designer, stylist, member of Maine Florist Association the Ecological Landscape Alliance, and Society of American Florists. She is eternally grateful for her talented team, and the opportunity to share her love of the outside with others. "We need the tonic of wildness..." -Henry David Thoreau |
As the second half of the mother-daughter team, Sophia has spent the majority of her life outside. Whether it was in the forests of Southern Maine or in the garden with her mother, Sophia has always carried a respect and fascination with all things natural.
Sophia has spent the last four years working professionally in garden maintenance and in floral design and now leads the garden team for Seabury Design. |
